“The girl is very hot”,意思不用我解释了，hot 用法很多，hot dog, hot photato, hot number, hot line, hot pot, hot babe, hot cakes…
Situational Dialogue 1
A:If you like hot dishes, you can try some.
B:They might be too hot for me.
(hot here means spicy. e.g. Pepper and mustard are hot.)
Situational Dialogue 2
A:This song is a hot favorite in HongKong.
B:I like it.
(hot favorite means very popular or widely welcomed)
Situational Dialogue 3
A:You are looking hot tonight.
B:Thank you.
(hot here means sexy, beautiful. e.g. The movie was bad but the main actress was hot so it wasn’t too boring.)
Complement:
He has a hot temper.
=He has a short temper.
=He gets angry easily.
=He loses his temper quickly.
